We were the first ones to propose creating smart contracts with explicit structure of 1 function that increases supply and another function that decreases supply of a stablecoin with the smart contract calculating the collateral ratio in real time as it runs. To my knowledge, no one else did that before FRAX.

what was generally the predecessor method? a smart contract with both or multiple functions? If I recall, no one had fractional collateral before FRAX, is that right?

dont want to speak for the team, but I do think they were the first to implement AMOs, and the inspiration probably came from trying to create a 'decentralized central bank'
