My question is: If an attacker access and modify the

archive nodes, would that make any difference to Mina blockchain?
Could any transactions be rolled back or created a new one through the archive nodes? does anyone know the answer?

this is the most important question i have not been asked so far

Hi Hector, it would be best to ask these types of questions on our Discord server #archive-nodes channel 🙂

No , this is not possible

Nope, this wouldn’t do anything, but only tangentially because of snark workers. The reason is that its tamper proof due to Mina’s ZKP, and so changing it at any time would be detectable in the archive node. Trying to tamper with the past also wouldn’t affect the current state at all, which is also backed by the ZKP and so can’t be modified undetectably

this is very interesting, before meeting Mina I was already thinking about why there was a need to maintain a blockchain history of several gigabytes in size
