Jay's comment was that ECC was considering Cosmos' PoS, aka Tinderment (which is a Byzantine Agreement style consensus mechanism, which is known to: 1) have a limited validator set due to communication overhead between nodes (ie, scales poorly with increasing decentralization) 2) reduced resistance to malicious nodes (1/3 Byzantine resitance vs Bitcoin and Cardano's 51% Byzantine resistance) 3) Requires stake lock-up period to ensure Sybil resitance and security of network

Not sure what you mean here. In the Cosmos ecosystem each application chain (or zone) is sovereign, meaning it has its own validators and is responsible for its own security. In Polkadot, parachains rely on the relay chain’s validators for security and if one parachain is rolled back all the other parachains are rolled back as well.
