Ok, how about I give you a reason. The whole

project wasn't built for the public, it was built for node validators to solve the staking liquidity issues. The core team has a deep relationship with the PoS industry. That's why they prioritise the profit earned by treasury to buy slashing insurance for the validators. That's why VCs like a16z invested in this project because they can make profit by using their voting power to enable nodes to join this ecosystem. If Lido is really building public goods, why does the Dao Treasury only own about 30% of all token supply? Why only less than 100 addresses have ever participated in the votes which are less than 0.5% of all $LDO holders? I really feel sad for those who hold $LDO, including myself, expected one day to gain some profit as a shareholder. Now I realize that we are just risk takers and no one really cares about our contributions.

I participated in Lido in Dec 2020 and get the airdrop. Since then I kept increasing my bags. I had read all the article above. That is why I feel more and more confused and abandoned.

I am sorry for that. what I can say is that I really beleive in the project (that's why I am here), and that governance tokens of leading protocols usually tend to increase in value. at the same time, Lido doesn't control the price of its gov token, it's set by the market and the market now is the bear one which affects all tokens out here

Ok. I should commit that my downturn emotion was triggered by two things: 1. By the end of 2022, all the token distributed to the team and seed investors will be unlocked. Of course, they have all rights on how to deal with their token. I'm not saying that they will definitely sell out, but after that, there will be no mechanism to incentive their behavior bound with the community. 2. I put my $LDO in the Balancer pool as lp for some cash flow. Recently, that was also raped by a Badger whale. I can't find any reason to hold my bags.

I understand your emoitions. but the main and most important requirement for a non-ponzi governance token to gain value is that the underlying project grows and brings value to the community. the growth of Lido is not a given thing, it requires a hard work—and without growth, LDO won't be a valuable asset in the long term regardless of the tokenomics. the team could focus on pumping LDO instead of the project growth and sustainability, and might even succeed in this short-term, but is it worth the long-term success?

Actually, I'm not a p_u_m_p and d_u_m_p guy. That's why I chose to provide liquidity on Balancer. So short-term volatility won't affect me that much. My real concern is long-term relationships between the team and the community(AKA tiny bag holders like me).
