But my question is less about how frax works and

more about FXS/FPIS. Questions like “so far has FXS been inflationary?” “What conditions lead to FXS being inflationary/deflationary?” Etc

The FXS emissions come from gauges similar to Curve. The supply for FXS at genesis was 100M and currently its under 99m FXS so we are deflationary.

FXS is deflationary when using FXS to mint Frax, thereby reducing the Genesis supply down from 100m. FXS is only inflationary from the circulating supply side. You can check this doc for details on the FXS emission https://docs.frax.finance/token-distribution/frax-share-fxs-distribution

Super helpful thank you! Is there a formula for emissions over time? I know that 60MM will be distributed but what’s the time frame and the spread of earlier vs later (apologies if it’s in there and i read over it)

Right now the FXS emission is 12,500/day and there is annual halving every 20th December.
