hold short/long position if I don't set any limit?
Not in perpetual.. but in delivery
Sorry, I mean perpetual
No time limit in perpetual.. hold it and don't forget to set stop loss.. and DYOR ofcourse
Thanks a lot. Your suggestion are appreciated
If i use cross then i put 3 position with different coins if one liquidated are the remaining 2 got liquidated too?
If one liquidated in cross then perhaps it will use other two coins profits( in case those two other coins are in profit) but no they will not get liquidated... Cross is dangerous because it will eat the other's profit.. that is why it is always advisable to use isolated.
But if we use isolated the liq.price are much closer than cross right?
It's not like that.. cross is used to use other's profit to increase liquidity price automatically... But in case of isolated you can manually increase liquidation price... So it matters how u can tackle
What are the differences of cross and isolated? And what are the benefits of using each one?
It's a lengthy ans... DYOR first But in short cross is used to use each other's profit to not get liquidated easily.. In isolated the only coin will be responsible for it's liquidation price. Here u can increase usdt ( for instance if are using usdt futures) to increase the liquidation price.
I do my own research, i just need simple explanation just like you did, now i get it, but why if i use all of my margin on cross, the liq.price are much closer than if i use a few percent of my margins?
Yes if they are using the same margin asset Like BTC/USDT ETH/ USDT BNB/ USDT If you are in profit in btc and eth but loss in bnb then bnb will automatically increase the liquidation price using those profits from btc and eth..
Is it possible to do one on cross and other one is isolated? What happen if the cross is starting to loss? Is it going to eat the isolated profit too?
No.... isolated is really isolated... Means it's bracketed within it's margin asset value... Cross can't touch it
Can you tell me what is the right presentage to set SL and TP ?
Sl is recommended 5% TP is about speculation...🤔 And if you are firm determined about your speculation then go for 10 to 15% SL
How about this technique when going short.. if the price is going down from 1100 to 1000.. let's say i update the SL to 1020 and so on, do you think it's good technique?
I placed coin A on Short.. entry is 1100 , when it's going down, i update the SL near the mark price so I won't loss any pennies of that
