Doing some research into the hbar that was sold at

a huge discount to Jordan Fried and immutable holdings. In the July 14th 2021 meetings Young confirms that the sale will go through to immutable holdings https://files.hedera.com/council-meeting-2021-07-14_v2.pdf but I can’t find any further info on the details. I know it was around 430Million hbar at 2cents? I think. Still think it’s odd that it was then resold to private investors (or was never actually sold to immutable holdings in the first place) it’s presently listed as “Hbar opportunity 1 LLC”. Anyone have any further info? Or know why it’s never mentioned again in any minutes on the Hedera website?

Well it was around 20 cents and it didn’t go through until around September which went as high as 42 cents so 400 plus million at 2cents sounds like a pretty good deal to me lol

The deal was made way earlier probably in late 2020, and hbar was few cents back then for most of year

Jordan Fried was an early marketing staff member at Hedera and obtained several of the early council members and then resigned to create his own company Immutable Holdings. I don't know the terms of this deal but you could look at the prices in the first half of 2021 to get a sense of what it may have been. They started the year at 10 cents or so and peaked in March around 40 cents and dropped off to 16 cents at some point before peaking at 57 cents in Sept.

They do announce things with dealy, it was commented at a time widely. I do agree since Hedera valued Hbar at 12 cents at open access, to be fair with investors they should have never sell anything post open access below 12 cents, even if price was below. The larger ammount the larger price as on auction, as at the end it was very big amount from treasury and investors should compete for that, with starting price 12 cents. Otherwise good luck buying such for few cents on exchanges at a time.

Lol with a deal like that I’d have resigned too. Just surprised I can’t find any other info regarding the deal anywhere on hedera’s website. Seems like an odd thing to not be transparent about.
