decide hey, potentially slash my link cuz the node I’m staking in isn’t operating perfectly?
*Doubles advocate
SO like in this hypothetical the staker doesn't like the node operator because the data they provide isn't high quality or the job they execute isn't to spec?
Like if I stake to a node operator and I know their feed is incorrectly reporting data, since my link also would be part of link slashed down the road, what incentivizes me to report it?
While I'd love to take credit for this cool ass graphic, it's also in the blog post
You wouldn't. Other nodes would
I'll quote from the article: "The initial v0.1 release of Chainlink staking is focused on introducing a reputation framework and alerting system, which are key requirements for slashing and other planned functionalities that will roll out in later release versions. To ensure robustness in an in-production environment, these systems will be used to track the performance of the ETH/USD Price Feed on the Ethereum mainnet. "
Josh made this graphic? Nice
