a slightly different route than T**coin chain in design and has no dev nor financial connection whatsoever with it, is that right?
Would say completely different route. Also the tech is not the same. It based on durovs wp, but the node was rewriten from the scratch to make it more cumpute and memory efficient. Now everything is in rust (versus c++) which gives more security guarantees. It is also a production ready product, designed in a modular facion for maintainability purposes versus raw MVP Durov made public. Protocol made it to something different, more decentraluzed and scalable, new consensus, REMP, etc etc. You will need to read a lot to get a grasp on it as there is a tremendous work have been done 😉 Also Everscale is pushing lots of features like EverOS, drive chains etc. So all in short, Everscale is not ton in any way. Both took a starting point from durovs wp, but ton has 0 changes since than, while Everscale is actively evolving through its own roadmap. Have a nice time exploring the project 😉
