using daily for several weeks with 0 issues. There are exactly +283,658 lines of code added & −94,424 removed between this & current v7.17.3. There are 1000s of changes & I feel we are ready for a beta test client.(Not full release)

2/6 However, the decision to release one is not mine, its a consensus of multiple devs & up to the community as to what exactly should be in a beta release. I will continue testing, tweaking things & working on it until consensus is reached. As unpaid volunteers this process...

3/6 has not been fast, and won't be until devs can be paid to work full time. The truth is there has been more effort go into v8.22 by more people than any version of DGB since DigiByte started in 2014. It will provide a very solid code base well into the future. Next week ..

4/6 I will make a video explaining the current state of 8.22 as I see it, what I think the release should be and talking about some of the changes like taproot, testing framework, potential algo swaps, supply cap and more. What are your questions?

5/6 I am currently working on my recommendation for a satisfactory answer to everyones concerns on algo swaps, supply cap limit, reward smoothing & final functional tests that have been disabled. I think we are close to a final 8.22 merge into develop, but others need to agree.

6/6 I want to highlight in conclusion when v8.22 is released & what exactly it contains is not up to me. I can offer insights & my opinion, but I do not control what happens here. Its up to the community, so please stop the fud, step up & help us get this over the finish line.

No idea what your account is. I am open to unblocking people in the community who want to have an open, honest discussion on twitter, even if we disagree. But not anyone who starts personally attacking me & slandering me. There has been some incredibly dehumanizing and toxic stuff said about me that I have zero tolerance for on Twitter. You posted a tweet about v8.22 being ready, which unfortunately isn't true. There are still some tests to be run, which is fine btw. Just dont tweet it is ready. In that context it was misleading and not correct towards the community. Thats it really. For the record: your hard work and all the work by the other devs are greatly appreciated.

Yes, ready and done for a beta test. That why I just put this tweet thread & post out to clarify what I meant. So thanks for helping me clarify for people what I meant & was thinking when I tweeted that. I realized I did not communicate clearly and deleted that tweet. I also did not clarify that was my opinion, and its still up to the community what "ready" really means. The fact everyone is walking around on pins & needles is not a healthy environment to foster collaboration. People are afraid to speak-out. Many have told me this privately. I want to work to change that, and to continue to reinforce the point its not up to me when 8.22 is release or what it contains. Its up to the community. So thank you all for supporting DGB and lets move things forward. The idea of a beta test is to catch the things we may have missed. A handful of devs can never be replaced by 1000s of real world end users feedback.
