technical answer for this guy so he stops spamming the AMP subreddit everyday?:
"Does anyone know if there's any proof the lightning transformer is actually being used for the lightning network? Or any proposed mechanism for how that works? I've been banned from the official Flexa discord for asking this." - u/Samurai77485
Every answer given to him so far is deflected as hearsay and press releases aren't good enough.
is there a way to prove that any lightning node is being used? I'm unfamiliar with how to find that out? Given the open nature of the network, if you can see one node being used, you should be able to see any other (unless I'm grossly misunderstanding how it works.)
I'm unfamiliar with it all myself 😅 I just trust in Tyler and the team, but I'd imagine it would be a learning experience if we can get a response
It’s been explained to him several times that Flexa has backend services that continuously monitor transactions until assured finality is achieved. If assured finality is never achieved, for whatever reason (double spend exploits, replace by fee, not written on chain), Flexa’s backend services interact with Flexa’s collateral manager on-chain contract to consume Amp in order to make the merchants whole. All the contracts are open source, however Flexa’s backend services are private.
