more beneficial for exchanges to take the Coinbase approach and say "We do not list securities" and keep AMP on the exchange? Delisting it seems like an admission of guilt that the exchange did not perform due diligence and listed an unregulated security. It's not like delisting it after this SEC action makes binance US retroactively innocent if AMP is ultimately deemed a security
I think most know they list illegal shitcoins and are in business to make money off people trading them. Very few are compliant in the us
Yeah cuz we were mentioned in the sec suit against the insider trader
Right, so by delisting it they're basically admitting that the SEC suit is credible and that they shouldn't have listed AMP in the first place. I'm saying it's short sighted of them to do so. Coinbase seems to be taking the opposite approach by doubling down and saying they thoroughly vet the coins they list
I do not see it as them admitting that the sec suit is credible
Yeah fair enough, I'm not going to speculate on what's going on internally over there but the "out of an abundance of caution" statement sounded like some legalese their lawyers threw together at the last minute. It'll be interesting to see how the SEC treats these ex post facto "securities"
It certainly will. It will be a really bad scenario for 99% of coins if amp is deemed a security imo and my guess is that it won’t be. Im not a lawyer and have no info you dont so take that with a grain of salt… but i wouldnt want to be holding any alts the day that happens, if it does. All that being said, nothing has changed in regards to amp. And being named in a paper with no explanation of charges with the goal to start the conversation def doesnt imo. I think we have a legal cofounder for a reason ;)
Question, if there is no liquidity because of all the delisting, then how will Flexa buy back AMP token in the market?
We have plenty of liquidity
I love this question, because it proves that AMP is not a security. It proves that it functions as a utility token for the Flexa Network.
