a smart contract call, the transaction is successful, but the network fee is 0.
There are a lot of those types of transactions now, because of Saucerswap.
My question is, why are those transactions apparently free and could we flood the network with these kind of transactions?
@hederakid do you maybe can answer this?
Maybe i am missing something, but i would be thankful for an answer 🙏☀️

Yea, me too, i don’t have much knowledge about it, i saw that the amount of contract calls went up a lot because of Saucerswap, then i wanted to know what kind of revenue that brings to the network, just out of curiosity, and then i saw all those „feeless“ transactions
Most of the time with the technical stuff I fall back to “In Leemon I trust” and just walk away.
It looks like dragonglass isn’t rendering all transactions properly. See here in hashscan.io, a call to a contract resulted in a cascade of other operations (mint token, transfer, invoke other contracts), each of those will show a zero fee since the overall cost is aggregated at the calling transaction level.
Longer account history record on Hashscan would be appreciated please
I can see at least two issues raised here to take care of exactly that (https://github.com/hashgraph/hedera-mirror-node-explorer/issues).
Thanks for clarifying Greg, really appreciate it! 👍
