Nobody knows. My guess is they cashed in and walked away. Might have been short-sighted, but there were some shady actions that the team had been making around the tau tokens, as well as a time where they essentially ignored the community vote, so I think that they might have worried that the truth would have come out, and maybe they would have to face the authorities. The CEO was fully doxxed. So maybe the way they disappeared kept them from being investigated. This is all my personal conjecture, based on the time I have spent in this channel, the discussions I have had with others who have lost tens of thousands due to the failure of the tau assets, and some hypothesizing about what could make sense considering what we know.
