provisioning
mechanisms and back-end integrations. In fact, online Flexa transactions
will differ from physical Flexa transactions only in their form of approval.
Instead of using a flexcode, virtual Flexa transactions will relay an FPAN via
an account-linked device.
That's the way the envisaged online payments happening in the 2018/2019 whitepaper but I always took the account-linked device part to mean a mobile phone or other device tied back to your FlexaID rather than a Common Debit AID. Certainly nothing to do with being compatible with EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa who Trev took a polite swipe at for naming EMV after themselves at the 2019 Consensus launch.
Likely so, but Tyler did elude to Flexa supporting debit cards if there was demand. Just not sure how it would work. Flexas current transaction flow doesn't support EV.
Oh yeah, I'm sure we'd love to see demand to support debit card transactions, but that's a different application to that specific quote from the early Flexa whitepaper above. That quote you pasted was talking about how they saw online payments working.
Yeah I posted that because I never heard of FPAN lol. Which is just Flexa version of PAN (debit card numbers).
