Believe that’s to validate the new testnet that just launched today. I think you can still validate for mainnet. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

The whitelist is for development testnet . For general mainnet validator everyone is welcome & free to join.

They initiated the freezing of the validator smart contract but I think you can still deposit for up to one week
