it is harder to source asic device?
Or any vice versa?
I don’t understand your question
Sorry I rephrase it, Monero is asic resistance so it might be easier to attack because it is easier to source CPU? ie. From Datacenter etc. While BTC can benefit from asic + gpu + cpu pow and asic is harder to source? So it will be harder to "attack"? Any flaw with this logic? Pls comment. Thanks
who knows, you'd have to do the math to certainly know wich type of network is cheaper to attack, BTC vs XMR would be a good comparision
Yeah, it just crossed my mind so asking here.
It depends because you're also asking which is easy to source enough of each thing faster or in bulk. Neither is the slightest bit practical because you need so many cpu devices. And furthermore it weeds out people/institutions that are doing it for money because they could just mine Monero. I haven't checked if renting cpu power is easier or cheap enough, but like Saylor even said, it'll be way cheaper to just attack all of Amazon and Google at that point
Sometimes is not just about money, it could be just because the other party couldnt win the wars, so they just pick any available option.
To attack BTC you only need to be the US government:)
