Guys, is there any serious liquidity for sfrxETH on Arbitrum?

Are there plans for minting frxETH and staking it through Frax app on Arbitrum?

We have a big focus on expanding frxETH. However, I am not sure about the future plans for minting frxETH and staking it through frax app on Arbitrum atm

The way to get sfrxETH on Arbitrum is to use the ferry to bring it with no slippage any size you want. It's the best way to get sfrxETH on Arbitrum. There might be some liquidity on 3rd party AMMs but there's slippage and fees. There's no way to offer minting frxETH-->sfrxETH on Arbitrum. That isn't possible because you can't start validators from Arbitrum so there's no reason to offer such minting. There's no LSD to my knowledge that lets you mint their LSD directly on an L2. But we offer native sfrxETH on Arbitrum, just through the ferry. That's as close as you're going to get.

no way yet*

There actually is no way to do it. Because the LSD protocol would have to bring back the ETH to L1 from L2 just to stake it. And why would they do that? They should just offer to natively bridge the LSD to the L2 like we do with the ferry so there's no 3rd party bridge risk. But minting it with ETH on an L2 would make no sense. Then the APR would go down since the ETH can't be immediately staked and must exit the L2. That wait time costs you rewards since it delays how quickly the LSD project can stake the ETH in a validator.

true true but i have seen fraxdevs make new and cool stuff before so i won’t be surprised if somewhere in the future this actually becomes real

Yes if it ever becomes possible from a technical perspective, you can be confident we'll build it! But for now Fraxferry is the best method. 🙂

I am onboarding new people into Frax ecosystem many of whom have very limited money they can invest. I wanted them to avoid extremely high fees on the mainnet so I am searching out all possibilities to buy sfrxETH cheaply. But since no L2 minting is possible and there is almost zero liquidity of sfrxETH on Arbitrum I am starting to be desperate… if you could provide any help on this, I would appreciate it ❤️

First of all, thank you ser for spreading the Frax gospel. That's great work you're doing. Since you're trying to get smaller players that can't afford gas fees and bridging, I think you can actually use the Ramses sfrxETH liquidity in their pool. It should be more than enough to get small users some sfrxETH and start earning. https://twitter.com/RamsesExchange/status/1656458888689090562
