you think there is reason to be concerned that our network security will fail when emission goes to 3 ERG per block? 2.) If a clone of Ergo were made with a different consensus algorithm, could the smart contracts of all of the dApps on Ergo function on the clone?

As explained by qx, hashrate is defined by demand on centralized exchanges, dexes , etc. So with constant demand 13x reduced supply will be resulted in 13x price increase and the same hashrate.

How can this figure be 13 times for Ergo? By the way, Mr. Kushti, what happened that made you think of making Ergo, why didn't you continue with eth and link or ada? Don't you think you made a mistake?

The point of the 13x was saying that as supply diminishes then demand will go up. 13x was simply showing u the 1:1 emissions and price comparison to say that to keep the current $1.45 to 39 erg payout per block to miners it would need to be $18 or so by 3 erg emission.

I think there aren't forks because we don't want one. We have the manifesto to keep us together. I hope you stick around Ergo for a very long time. If you were to take a smaller role in our community I could see a fork happen. That would be painful.

With the same external demand even hashrate will be rated at about the same level (excluding dumping old coins, but we already here likely with 70% of supply already in the game). Also, we will see in coming years how storage rent, MEV, FIMOs (fair initial mining offerings) will reward miners. 2.) If a clone of Ergo were made with a different consensus algorithm, could the smart contracts of all of the dApps on Ergo function on the clone? - yes. Also, surprised that there are no Ergo forks yet. NXT had like 40 of them I am aware of lol. Now times of forks have gone it seems (aside of ETH).
