the other day on CBDC’s and why DigiByte and others offer an alternative to what’s coming. https://twitter.com/matthewryancase/status/1680011750194962432?s=46
All I see is a dude talking about what's possible. Of course these things are possible, but that doesn't mean it would be used across the board. The only situation I can see where the currency could be limited is food stamps. Just like today, you can't use it for non food purchases.
You don't think with indications of them easing in a carbon credit system already that they will use its programmability for multiple and undesirable reasons?
What indications?
Not to mention the carbon credit system in general but also the introduction of the carbon credit cards you can opt in for. It seems a good way to ease the public into the idea of what may be coming
Never heard of a carbon credit card I can opt into. I use 3 different major banks..
Yea, they calculate your carbon footprint based on your purchases
Not exactly the boogeyman..
Maybe not but I wouldn't expect the Boogeyman to let me know when he is to arrive and what window he's crawling in. I hope I'm wrong, I truly do. It's plain as day to me though that this is all about control
In a free market, you really think a bank is interested in doing less business?
Nice
