Has anyone an idea what happens when I try to

execute the Stader smart contract using a ledger device? Will it work and my account receive the hbarx but I won't be able to send them out using ledger until they support it or until I import my seed phrase somewhere else? Would it be safe to execute the swap with a ledger device?

As far as I know, you have to use Hashpack or Blade to interact with Stader and convert your HBAR into HBARX, then you can move your HBARX into D’cent. I don’t know for sure if ledger supports storing HBARX (or any HTS tokens).

Hbarx? Dcent? What is this??

You can hold your HBARX in a D’cent - always have been able to.

Connecting Dcent with Hashpack to trigger the dapp tx is ok or are you saying I need to move coins to a hot wallet before interacting with the Stader dapp?

I don’t think it’s a Hedera issue. Stader would have to work with D’cent. In this case they are the limiting factor - they are only integrated with those two wallets (Blade and Hashpack) for HBARX. There is a Hedera specific hardware wallet in development right now - citadel I think??? - I believe they are working on integrating with everyone in the ecosystem. Perhaps they will be compatible with Stader so you’d be able to stay in a hardware wallet for the entire process, but I’m not sure.

On Ethereum, you connect your ledger device with metamask and then can sign every tx of any dapp with your hardware wallet. There is no need for specific dapp integrations.
