tokens traded or value?
Total monetary value for last 24 hours: https://academy.binance.com/en/glossary/volume?
Thank you, that's helpful. However, when reading that article I'm struggling to establish a firm answer, in-line with your summary. It is Sunday and my brain is only at 50% though lol
What's not clear please?
Your answer is clear, but the Binance article is theoretical and seems to suggest volume can be either value or number of tokens/coins. Don't worry, it's not that important.
Let me try to example it: If you are looking at ETH/USDT trading pair, the volume that you see (24hr) represents the total value of USDT that has been traded for BTC in the past 24hr. So short story this should represent the total monetary value of all the trades executed on the given pair in a 24hr timeframe. Please don't hesitate to scrap Binance Academy and maybe try also Binance Sensei: https://academy.binance.com
