I see they are all overcollateralized which is great. Currently I'm in like 6 Liquidity Pools with Farms on Spectrum Fi and while I like the idea of providing liquidity and earning I don't like the idea of having over $10k in Erg in Liquidity Pools - not that that's bad but I know with volatility of prices that the risk I'm taking could erase some gains. So I'm going to have to think hard about getting in on these bonds or loans. So with these bonds or loans isn't there less risk compared to Liquidity Pools and Farming? Now what if the Sigmafi.app platform decides to shut down when I have a loan going? What would happen then? Am I able to use the sigmafi.app platform with a Ledger or similar Hardware Wallet?
[ @cafebedouin ] It's all on chain. Presumably, you could fork and host the front-end on localhost, if it came to that. As for risk, I'm not sure the risk is less, maybe just different. Yes, you should be able to use Nautilus and Ledger with Sigma.fi. Probably worth mentioning the front-end and website hosting is done by Nemo, the same developer for the Nautilus Wallet.
Seems really solid then. Okay I'll have to get involved on lending soon then. Thanks everyone for the information
It's on chain. Anyone can build a front end. Even if nobody built a front end, your wallet would always be linked to the loan until it's repaid. So if the front end went down and the other person (the borrower) paid back the loan you would still get paid.
I've talked to Kushti about the risk of bonds. Yes. It's very low risk from a coding security perspective. And yes, you can use a hardware wallet with nautilus on SigmaFi.App.
You're always free to DM me for questions. A while back I converted most of my erg to bonds. It's way less risky.
I'm going to have to do mostly bonds then. I'll certainly consider the other defi moves on Ergo but I think primarily into bonds would be best
