automatically moved to the new blockchain.
Does it mean that after the migration we can send and receive with the same wallets and same wallet addresses and the difference is that they are send through the new chain?
yes and no. Obviously the team will change the Electroneum.com infrastructure so it works on the new smart chain behind the scenes. So your coins will be bridged off the old chain, and you will gain the same amount on the new smart chain. To users, they wont notice much difference. Slowly everyones coins will move over to the new chain. You will have new wallets, clients, everything. Whole new blockchain. Not sure on keys setup, but as it gets auto bridged i assume works for wallets on both chains. Loads of details will come out just before launch..how it all works, what people need to do. Looks to be super easy and most people wont have anything to do.
Ok, but how can we still have access on our ETN if they have to be moved to new wallet? I am talking about the first day that the migration starts If there will be an autoswap, I was expecting that in the beginning the ETN on the new chain will remain in the old wallets. I guess I have to wait for the details and info
Nope, on launch the team will have integrated the new wallets for the new blockchain and your old ETN will be gone and you will just have the new smart chain tokens. Like i said, most people wont even notice anything, just log in and they have the new coins....on the new smart chain. Very exciting! But as i said, specifics will be released by the team. Dont worry, they have gone to a lot of effort to make it as smooth as possible so people dont have much/anything to do. Watch this space for further announcements.
I understand I log in Aurora wallet I assume after the new blockchain release, I can still use this wallet to access the new tokens?
Yes, as the post you replied to says, the Electroneum Wallet on electroneum.com will do everything for you. Behind the scenes they will bridge your ETN to the smart chain and all the functionality in your wallet will be working on the new chain. Seamless. If people run their own wallets/nodes they will need to setup on the new blockchain. But again.... all of this will be clearly explained closer to launch. 👍
Ok thanks. I just wanted to double check. I don't want to be left out and stay on the old blockchain with the old tokens 😉 We will wait for the more details and info when launch is near
Does this apply to ETN wallets on iOS? We don’t need to do anything, right?
The electronic online wallet and their mobile counterpart are the same thing...just different interfaces Don't worry. 👍
i got mine in a cold wallet for years, do i have to worry?
Nope nothing to worry about, when you access that paper wallet after launch, it will use the bridge to automatically convert your coins to the new blockchain. Dont worry, plenty of guides/info will be released closer to launch of the Smart Chain.
