So, since in the past days there has been some

community members voicing there concerns about certain people having bad vibes, and having a negative attitude towards the group, which can demotivate newcomers. I wanted to tryout something new 💡

Thanks to the excellent suggestion from @UOSking , it was brought to my attention that our Combot bot has a reputation tracking system. Meaning you can upvote or downvote comments of people.

This will also bring a bit of community democracy to the group.

How does this work?

So for example if someone provides help or assistance to newcomers or anyone and has proven to be a helpful community member by answering a question or anything like that .. that person can get their comment "upvoted" this will increase their reputation by 1 point 🟢

To trigger a reputation boost you must reply with: " +, thanks, Thank you, 👍🏻, upvote, 👍, " .. either of those work :)

Now, if the opposite happens and someone is being annoying, disrespectful, being toxic or just throwing around bad vides , you can downvote the comment and lower that persons reputation by 1 point 🔴

To trigger a reputation downvote you must reply with: " -, 👎🏻, downvote, 👎, 💩, " .. either of those work

Things to keep in mind

⚠️ By no means does this replace the authority of Moderators or Admins, we will continue to monitor everything just as before. But this does bring an extra parameter in the picture. A community voted aspect that I think might be interesting.

⚠️ Please keep in mind this is a trial , I want to see if this works and will only continue with it if it provides true value to the community

⚠️ Triggers have 900 sec cooldown

⚠️ Please take this seriously, if I see anyone fooling around with the reputation or abusing it, this will cause a 1 week mute or possible ban.

⚠️ If by the end of each month I see any particular person has a very negative reputation (-25) for example. Some measures might be taken into action like a Warning + Temporary Mute , or even a Ban from the group.

⚠️ Whoever downvotes me gets a megabonk in the head


💜 I will seek to reward people who have very high reputation at the end of certain periods also. I still need to work on how and with what but I will be keeping a close look 👍🏻

Personally I would use another emoji then thumbs up/down given that when people disagree with a question that has no ill intention I have seen those emojis been used. And vice versa for 'good statements' I would suggest using an up and down vote system with emojis that are being used less frequently to get an more accurate overview.
