but have often heard the meme of banks closing on weekends. I understood that FRAX peg will be ultimately kept by offchain ops, then, is it affected by that kind of banking stuff?

It's true wires don't go through on weekends, at least until FedNow is integrated into the banking partners that FRAX v3 uses. After FedNow, hopefully settlement and RWA<>onchain asset management can be instantaneous.
