beyond the fact that it is a scarce immutable ledger , yes. Peolle need to band together and agree which one is real vs which one is fake when everybody can just create their own chain with the same attributes

Fiat currency fails when the society using it collapses. If society collapses. I can assure you the people won’t be loading your hardware wallets with BTC.

No fiat currency collapses due to bad policy by governments and central banks, which then leads to societies collapse. BTC can hedge against that hyper inflation and continue the financial system a bit longer
