wallet was handed over to start forensic and follow the stolen funds (addresses).
My questions now:
1) Why is it bad to empty an address completely iso leaving few funds as said by Moonestone forensic (Monerujo pocket change)
2) Is a Tx hash a good starting point for tracking as well?
3) What do you guys recommend to make my XMR transactions more untracable?
Thanks
1 solution
3) Dont give out your private (view)key, always consolidate UTXO's by sweeping entire balance into a new (sub)address, wait a large amount of blocks before transacting again, avoid exchanges and centralized services who can collude against you, watch the full Breaking Monero series on Youtube.
How can sharing view key be a problem?
From my understanding they are attempting EAE attacks using poisoned outputs. Because they handed over the private key of CCS wallet investigators can perform this attack that requires Patry A to collude with party C against B, A > B > C This video can further explain what I mean. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iABIcsDJKyM
