about that last community digest. I think we all assume that the clompetion of the second audit is imminent right (though they possibly have to review it first after completion)? So why not wait a few more days/weeks and release the digest after Ampera (protocol) went live and the WP has been released? I probably got a wrong perspective somehow, so i'm sorry if that's the case, but i get a feeling "releasing everything togheter" could take way longer than we thought and they won't announce completion of the second audit until they have reviewd it and got everything else ready (including further testing)? I also thought testing has been finished and after the second audit when they'll release "everything togheter" the protocol will actualy go "publicy" live (if that makes sense)? But they wrote there will be more testing? Or will further testing actually occur while the protocol is "live"? I'm really not negativ or trying to fud, i'm just trying to get the right perspective about whats occuring...
The way I see it (my personal view) Establish a protocol with a good foundation. Test it in house, refine it. Test it again with fresh eyes. Refine it. Run it through an audit. Make changes based on the audit. Test again in house and with the initial testers. Check again to see if it meets the standards of an internal audit and the recommendations of the the two audits. Release it to a larger part of the community (another set of fresh eyes) Use feedback to refine. See the trend. As for the white paper There could be aspects of the protocol that could be changed by the audits/testing that would affect the white paper. I think the update was more to clam the nerves of those wanting updates. I feel once released another digest will be released that allows it to be more focused on the protocol.
Thanks for you reply, that sounds reasonable. We'll see how it turns out. I've temperet my expectations a bit regarding timewise expectations. But i'm happy to wait, if it means to get a save, reliable and testet product out there. Just hope there won't be others stealing the idea and ruining some things for us...
