Are you serious? It's completely political, whether it should be or not. For example, it has a huge blind spot for calling out certain members' human rights records, as well as conflicts and blocks regarding conflict in areas of geopolitical interest of certain member states. Also there is the huge failure of SDG's.

It’s for sure biased but it was meant to be neutral. It was supposed to be a platform for sovereign equality with the emphasis on promoting international peace.

Unfortunately the UNSC is completely outdated and harks back to a time when it was largely led by the U.S and major European countries. Its really not fit for purpose at the moment, for example Russia have made a mockery of it, imo. However, you could argue it's completely fit for purpose for countries like China as it allows them to move forward with its agenda to reshape an order that siuts them. Unfortunately, its a mess. I think for an apolitical organisation like hedera it would be a big risk and one they'd likely avoid

A year ago, my question for the dr.Leemon Baird on LinkedIn via a podcast was, could a government or a country become a GC member? He replied never say never but also said there weren’t the type of organisations Hedera was currently looking at having on the council. I’ve asked this question because we already have EDF and that’s the French government behind if you like, it’s our historical central Energy and Water company. Same with Deutsche Telecom, 30% is owned by the German government, making it the largest shareholder. To me nations are already kind of involved 🤷🏼‍♂️
