Guys I have a question for you : let’s say

I have USDT coming from a CEX bought in my name. I wanna atomic swap it into xmr and then do the reverse.

Does it anonymize my usdt?

And if so how many wallets do I need to have? ( with VPN and/or Tor indeed)

Thanks guys. Hope this profits to all of us in this group

How does this make any sense how can you anonymize a non anonymouse centralized shitcoin based on the biggest shitcoin of all?

I would suggest you look up what is visible on chain when you buy XMR. Go from there. Read before you send. Also, buying 100 XMR at 3pm Monday and then selling 99.9997 XMR at 3:01pm Monday, back to USDT/C, whatever, may not be wise.

Thanks a lot . I will try with small amounts to see . Never thought of that before. As for the amount not being the same, yeah for sure , it is a good reminder

It has been researched. For example if you look up documentation on sideshift or fixedfloat, someone there can tell you that the USDT side can be traced to an atomic swap with XMR. But not much after that. Remember you get better anonymity set by not moving same amounts and not moving something immediately. I heard wait 10 blocks, but I forget where.

You can go with a centralized exchange from usdt to xmr, check on kycnot DOT me The answer to your question depends on a lot of things like what is the degree of privacy that you need and who is the potential observer. If you are just talking about a little bit of privacy from passive observers then it's easy. USDt to XMR, split XMR, convert back XMR in a different amount (You converted 1314$ to xmr, don't convert the same amount you bought back into USDt, you will convert something else like 1286$, else it's easy to see the correlation)
