There are two main parts to the launch; launching the new smart chain and updating the old blockchain to allow coins to start moving over via the bridge the team have built. So going live depends on several things: 1. How long the external audit takes 2. If the external audit identifies any issues or improvements that then need fixing & retesting. 3. Whether the team decide to launch the new smart chain first.....or go live at the same time as the update to the old blockchain. 4. How much of a delay 3rd parties (like exchanges) need before the old blockchain update can go live. The audit work (1 & 2) may well happen before the years end, the Smart Chain launch (3) could possibly happen soon after if the team want to launch ahead of the update to the old chain..so that could maybe be early in the new year if the audit goes well. That would then be the new smart chain launched... however, we need the update to the old chain to enable people to move their coins over from the old blockchain. The update to the old blockchain (4) most definitely wont happen by year end as third parties need time to prepare. You tend to give exchanges quite a few weeks, or even a few months to get ready. We should be hearing about the audit shortly and hopefully get a better idea then. Whatever the specifics.... its very very close. Super exciting 😉
Good info. Thanks @BegaMutex
Thank you for the update!
