delisting. Are we going to agree with them or not?
I had another email from Binance France today confirming the ZEC delisting. To be honest I agree with what @tim_ukrainian said earlier about zcash being about transferring value on a p2p basis. I was trying to teach my mum to use crypto recently and showing her the coinbase app where they give rewards for learning about crypto. One of the basic questions she answered was "what is a not feature of cryptocurrency? The correct answer was: centralization." I almost laughed out loud considering we were using the CEX coinbase and so many of the tokens there are very contrary to decentralisation! Look, I have nothing against coinbase, and I'm glad they still support zec, but on balance as far as I am concerned CEXs are contrary to the original values of both Satoshi and Zcash. I'm pleased that centralised crypto services are going to increasingly expose normie mainstreamers to crypto, and I believe that the wave of institutional adoption of bitcoin and normalization of crypto via entities like coinbase will create a wave of positivity and new blood that will also accrue to zcash's token value. However, for me the far more important mission for our project is, as @tim_ukrainian said, as a P2P technology that empowers individuals to transact without state or corporate oversight, custody, or middling of any sort.
