as an in-game item. Due to the low APY of 18% and probably even less in the future, the player will only get back his previous stake, which he pays 50% to the Foundation, after 5 years at the earliest, which is why crafting should only be done if you would like to have this item ingame for yourself. What I don't understand then is that MNA sells itself as a play to earn game, but how are you supposed to earn something according to such a principle if you can only assume that you have to invest money yourself in order to get something out of it after 5 years at the earliest?
Good question. Some of the features have not been introduced, and we are still in the Alpha Seasons.
To add here are all the plans for play to earn. You may read it here in this article. Thank you https://myneighboralice.medium.com/play-to-earn-opportunities-galore-my-neighbor-alices-in-game-economy-8e0d3483d023
The in-game items has floor price to it which you can get back if you choose to burn the item in the future. This unique staking program, allows you to have fun crafting in-game NFTs with $ALICE to use in the game while assuring that those NFTs will always have a value.
It's just a narrative to add hype. But for me, if you play MNA just treat it as a normal game where you play and pay for fun and entertainment. That's it, and maybe with a twist of getting back some of what you spend when you had enough with the game. "Cashback" 🤑
Absolutely, appreciate your take on My Neighbor Alice! It's fantastic that you see it as a source of fun and entertainment. The "cashback" twist adds an interesting element. Remember, our goal is to create an enjoyable gaming experience for everyone. 🎮 Thankful for your support😊
To add, when you participate in the community quests and finish all the normal quests of the game, you will have the chance to get a reward in the form of NFTs just like the past Alpha seasons. With that, it's not just a play and pay for fun thing but there is an added bonus to all users who are actively participating. Right now, staking is also part of that bonus since you can use those crafted NFTs in-game while staked. Another thing is that there is this ongoing event "Landscapes re-imagined" where you can actually win a land plot+$150 worth of ALICE. All these things mentioned are added bonus to the entertainment of the game. ☺️
Play2earn is not play2invest. Play for fun should be priority
Yeah, cause when investors find out that its no longer profitable then they will leave the game instantly just like other p2e. That's why they should avoid the p2e narrative and attract real gamers who are willing to spend money to play
Hello! I'm with you that games are for real gamers and ultimately have to be enjoy as a game. The play to earn aspect of it is just a plus. With web2 games you just spend money and do not really own anything unlike a full on-chain game like MNA where you can buy your NFTs (land plots, decorations, and more) that you can also sell anytime you want. What you earn from the staking program is an added bonus from a game you enjoy to play.
