If this project is successful it could permanently alter the landscape of commerce for payments with crypto. They had an audit at the end of 2023 which didn't detect issues and are in the process of a second more thorough audit. Beyond that there are other hurdles like regulation differences between sec and cftc. The white paper also has yet to be released. The technology works though, you can download the SPEDN app, load up $100 of one of 60 or so different currencies and pay for products in over 40,000 stores today. So it's a waiting game. If everything goes smoothly this could be one of the rare projects that sticks and grows in an organic authentic way.
