I have no idea.
Omg.....is still Hitachi japan, Hitachi usa doesent belong to usa ....is still part of Hitachi wich headquarters are in japan....most likely is because language barrier and distance....
Why, is this a problem to you? Just asking as you raised it. Who cares if it's Hitachi US, it's a foot in the door. We have 30 big companies on the GC, many building. USA or Greenland, it's still Hitachi. People will pick holes in anything and everything like they're some big shot boardroom wannabe. Let them, the experts, do their jobs and build it out. This is the most professionally run project in the space. If it's wasn't, the regulated entities on the council would have disappeared by now. And before you say it, any financial incentive would be absolutely miniscule compared to their revenue. I'd be more worried about a bunch of unqualified whales pulling the strings. That would be anarchy, not decentralisation.
I think the answer to that is the business in Hitachi US. Especially the Hitachi Vantara business which sells data services into 85% of Fortune 500. I believe this is the part of Hitachi really involved with Hedera. Which also explains why a company the size of Hitachi has done PoC’s etc with others. You can’t dictate a standard in a company the size of Hitachi.
I think Hitachi is that type of company that can bring so many usecases into the ecosystem. They are involved in so many different sectors
Loans in the UK as well. Had a few things on HP in the past.
Oh. Their reach is truly Awesome! Touching on Servicenow awesome. But focused on a different aspect of business. Which makes this announcement sooooo exciting!
