or crypto heavy, what does the metamask snap do for the ecosystem functionally? I understand there are a lot of folks that use metamask, does it mean they can buy HBAR and HTS tokens straight from their existing wallet? So they can use whatever cash on-ramp they are used to and buy our stuff? And hold those assets in their metamask?
Thanks!

Here’s an article with a bit more info on the benefits of the Metamask Snaps integration with Hedera: https://alexablockchain.com/metamask-snaps-integrates-with-hedera-network/
you've been able to store hbar & hts tokens in metamask for a few months afaik the hedera add-on/snap lets you build more custom or hedera specific stuff that metamask might not natively support e.g. file service. metamask is still the wallet and you'd approve transactions in it, but you'd use the add-on/snap for everything else i think. The snap has a website that seems to connect to metamask that's like a Hedera dashboard for your wallet, and then you approve transactions in metamask itself.
Thanks - appreciate the info! I’m hoping the flood gates open and people come in droves to Saucer. Seems like this is a step in the right direction.
you've been able to use metamask with SaucerSwap since November
I have still not understanding what it is. Is it some online Hedera wallet or extension, what its role? and where were the gaps before, if you could outline please. Cannot be done via Hashpack or other wallet?
