basically, i think we're in a spiral of not sufficient market access to acquire attention & volume and token appreciation for listings,
enough funds (because of token price) to fund further exchange access
and although technically ERG is a beast, it has been proven by the current performance people frankly don't care (or don't care enough to get through the hassle of moving funds to marginal exchanges via VPN's etc)

I don't know how, but we might need to make a deal with the devil to kickstart our run.
I mean the tech stack of TIA is amazing too, but the difference is they have a ton of backers & treasury. Sure they will dump the fuck on retail, but they have acquired massive attention (350k wallets staking)

If we don't get some token boom, new influx of devs and community will also remain very little.

ERG is the people's coin, and the devs are giving all they got, but UI wise it just cannot compete with the Tier1 projects. I've been exploring other chains and the experience is overall vastly better than our current frontends.
And i understand, a lot of the chains is just speculating on price. Crypto is a form for people to escape the wealth gap (given current housing situation) and people do crazier and crazier stuff to attain some funds. They will not go for ERG if the do not expect a significant appreciation in the near future.

I know it's easy for me to shout from a sideline, but I'm getting more pessimistic we'll get the attention we need to break out of our spiral

Before novel innovations, such as LINK, were also listed because of their innovating purpose, but we're way past that era. Also i get the feeling the exchanges do not care about our stack.

Maybe in another cycle we get more appreciatoin, CT like Smokey or Cobie are already complaining about the VC infested coins dictating everything. But then we need some form of movement back to the pure non VC projects. Can't we get in touch with these guys? They can push the narrative a LOT of coins are simply a vehicle to dump on retail, in stead of making sure people using the chain what they are meant for - permissionless finance
