I disagree, even now theres still dumb people that want to make crypto tokens backed by a basket of assets like gold, precious metals, etc, they just can't grasp that you don't need backed stuff in the free market like btc, you don't need electricity contracts to back a coin

Every person can buy US treasuries or publicly traded stocks with cash if they have some cash. It is democratic. Essentially post Ipo or with gov debt the ownership is globally decentralised. That is much less centralised than say a privately owned company. A zec miner is more like the latter.
