on Celo to further everyday adoption of digital currencies & assets
What does this mean? 🧵👇
2/ With a market cap of $135.16b (source: DefiLlama.com), stablecoins' rise in popularity as a dominant real-world asset (RWA) allows for greater financial access & inclusion
How? Through easy, permissionless, and borderless transfers of assets onchain 💪
3/ Celo's diverse stablecoin use cases are well suited for USDC, e.g. remittances, savings, lending, peer-to-peer (P2P) & cross-border payments, plus access to local currencies, e.g. MentoLabs' cREAL and eXOF, which track the Brazilian Real 🇧🇷 & CFA Franc 🌍
4/ Integrating USDC on Celo allows businesses & developers worldwide to provide more fast, secure & efficient payments
On-/ off-ramps like Circle Mint will also be available for institutional & enterprise customers, facilitating greater onchain activity & swapping
5/ But that's not all––a proposal from cLabs is underway, which will propose allowing Celo users to pay for network gas fees w/ USDC for a seamless payments experience 👀⛽️

I kinda just skimmed the article. What of the existing cUSD, will it be terminated? i'd actually prefer that to USDC.
They both will exist, including all other stable coins in the Celo ecosystem like cEUR, cREAL etc.
