Do tell, what is a 'real language'? And I guess

all the places I worked at and the solid track record I have was all just hobbyesque newbie stuff. FML.

All languages that not require .net framework 😂 why you want to use it at all. it is super slow compare to c++ / rust 😅 When you ‘compile’ it just make bytecode. You cannot make machine code. 😭

Alright, I'll bite. You're mentioning .NET Framework which is the old, slow, chunky Windows specific framework. We've had .NET Core and now just .NET 5 to 8 for a while now which are cross-platform and have gotten so optimized they even come close to low-level languages like C++. That having said, I can literally count the times I had to do heavy optimized and low-level programming stuff in a non C# language on one hand and I've been programming professionally for nearly 20 years now, even longer if you count my hobby years. The vast majority of enterprise level (web) applications don't require that level of optimization, ever. Whatever language you use will only be theoretically faster and as always depends on how you utilize it. Considering I've written many web applications that have had thousands of concurrent users on a mediocre web server with capacity to spare, I'm really not worried about C# and .NET in the memory and performance departments. There's a reason C# is slowly becoming the most popular programming language and C# jobs typically pay more than average as opposed to other web/software engineering positions. But yeah, let's write web applications in machine/assembly code or do web development in C++ or Rust. Great idea!
