They stated yesterday those changes were made in large part due to community feedback
community feedback 😂
So when a company realises that the path they're on doesn't quite work or could be improved, they should just continue on that same path anyway because that's what we set out to do 5 years ago?
There’s very little transparency about what they are doing. The rally cry for everyone concerned about Ampera when it was announced was, “Don’t worry AMP will still be involved as the governance token.” I’m not sure I can remember anyone saying they should create a new token… so I don’t know where this community feedback is coming from. And yes, company pivots are sometimes necessary, but nothing released to us even hinted that ANVL was going to happen.
Why should they tell you anything? Why wouldn't they just use their experience and proprietary information to make the best decisions possible to be successful.... And behave as though they didn't owe Washburn veto authority
The issue is not whether I or anyone on here has a veto or deserves information from the team. But shouldn’t the information that is communicated be accurate?
No information they ever put out isn’t accurate
They were telling us that they are working on SDK, wallet integration, whitepaper and new merchants but really they were working on completly different product.
Things change, man.
At the time, it was accurate. But in the time since they've determined a change was needed. "We are eager to announce significant milestones at the Ampera Foundation (AF), marking a year of exciting progress. The journey has been transformative, with pragmatic shifts that lay the groundwork for our future. In an effort to adapt and respond to the evolving crypto landscape, today we are introducing two distinct projects: Ampera and Anvil. This strategic decision stems directly from listening to community feedback, and our long-term commitment to best support the crypto ecosystem."
LOL. Last WAGMi was few weks ago.
Would anyone in our community like to reveal yourselves as the one(s) who gave this “community feedback”?
I assume it was the people in test net
There are a number of chats voicing against Amp being a governance token if you go back to last Feb when Ampera was initial announced
That’s called a bait and switch. Their initial goals were very interesting and they made some compelling arguments. I was definitely on board. Now it’s changed and changed and changed. But not from what they said. Totally different direction and out of nowhere. If that’s not a red flag on top of a mountain of red flags. Then Idk what is.
Maybe you should take some time to understand what they have done and what they aim to do before denouncing them
Mate the only change is the introduction of a separate governance token than you can claim 1:1. No change in direction or goals
I remember there was a lot of concern that AMP was not going to be used for Ampera.
