Great article, I can't think of any possible portions I'd not agree with the content tbh, nicely put together, good job. I just had to dim the text a bit to read it easily though, normally it's considered bad practice to use extreme white/black for text contents on screen, makes it harsh for eyes :D I'd say maybe trim the colors a bit towards a dark-grey/ light-gray for better readability, that's all
I mean this default is a bit harder to read :D
I want the article to be more accessible to mainstream users, so I need some friends to read it who don‘t know Monero at all and tell me how I can make it more appealing and understandable
It actually looked pretty digestible to me, but still I'm using Monero almost in a daily basis and I'm running a full node, so I don't think I'd be a good example of how impactful the article is for someone who's never heard of XMR. To be honest the only culprit I see for mainstream users to adopt XMR is the fact that it doesn't give the best user experience on instantly syncing wallet balance due to it's privacy complication nature, and I don't have any specific ideas on how this could be improved. But at the end of the day, if someone cares enough about their privacy, I feel the article is motivating enough to push them for a try and hopefully stick with it :)
To me that's much easier to read, I have to squint at the greyed out version.
Sure it does make sense since I did dimmed the text by a lot of on my monitor while it's almost 2:30 AM here 😅 The point is you practically don't go all the way white and all the way black as it creates a huge contrast and it makes it harder to read on screen :)
Something like this
my laptop uses a Mini LED screen and my phone uses OLED, so I like the pure black. I will make the text a bit darker tho
That's just some UI/UX preferences anyways, the main point is the article itself which was put together nicely, cheers 🍻
Is that XMR address on your omg(.)lol for donation purposes btw?
Not for donations specifically but for anyone who needs to send me money and doesn‘t want to use PayPal
Then I'd like to say your next beer is on me mate 🍻
Ja, komm nach Deutschland und wir trinken einen ;)
I agree to almost everything :-) here in Italy the situation is awful. A friend of mine sold a car to a man from Deutschland, he got paid with 500€ bills.. as he tried to deposit them in the bank he got accused of money laundring 😅
Yeah this is getting so normalized and it‘s wrong
almost… what would be something you disagree with? feel free to comment anonymously under the article
Wow, that's not even that much. It seems like America is the best house in a bad neighborhood. An IRS guy just got caught on hidden camera admitting they are targeting small businesses and doing unconstitutional stuff. They want everyone dirt poor so they can force you to chose between CBDCs and starvation.
Spain, Portugal, is exactly the same. The monetary control is incredible. Payments of more than €1000 must be banked, never in cash. If I want to buy a table worth €2000 it has to be by credit card or bank transfer with its commissions many times. Why should I give up my rights? Let's not allow this Overton window to open.
