Banks run BTC. How will that be different with XMR?

Also, it contains serious similarities to a Ponzi, just more decentralized.

Open to input and difference of opinion here.

Hey Jack, yea in some ways I mean that. Any currency is “useful” in that you can easily transfer value to someone else. The difference with gold compared to a regular currency is that gold can be used as a material in select goods and manufacturing. So btc is in some ways internet money that is created through mining in order to create value (energy in the real world turning into digital energy every 10 minutes per block mined). Otherwise, currency holds value because we believe it does and hope the next person will buy it for the same value you hold or more. This dangerous assumption is why many businesses won’t accept btc. Yes it may “go to the moon 🌙 “ but it also might crash 💥 the next day. Just wait to btc drops again like it has in the past when a fear-triggering event causes the euphoric stage to wear off for awhile. Then it will do it again (we assume). If all someone does is hope the price of something goes up without significant work or contribution on their part, then it’s acting more as a Ponzi scheme built on the belief someone else will pay more for the same belief. Because if people stop believing it’s useful for any reason, it plummets through the exchanging of hands. Hence the opposing term, “Diamond hands”.

I don't speak English but Spanish but if you allow me to give my opinion it's not BTC's fault let me explain The Real Problem is USDT since the banking elite realized its potential, let me explain if they already own the dollar printer, now they own the tehther printer, they print USDT, they buy BTC at the current price then it goes up and they sell their holding in BTC in that way they support the impression made and take the profit from the rise, that is why Monero (XMR) is one of the few cryptos outside of Binance that I support, by the way I would like to really consider increasing the content in Spanish in especially in mobile wallets since many of us from Latin America want to support this project especially in the memory of John McAfee, who always supports and speaks well of Monero (XMR) a hug to all PS: It is not investment advice.

Hey Jack, yea in some ways I mean that. Any curren...

Your reasoning seems to lack due consideration to btc scarcity, price may go up because there is not enough for everyone who wishes to buy.
