It’s the same model as Hedera. The fees are pegged to the dollar, but paid in HBAR. With dovuOS, the fees are pegged to the dollar, but paid in $DOVU. So all dovuOS customers will have to buy $DOVU to pay for services.

They could be a private company that uses USD or USDC, but that’s not the structure they wanted to build their business around. They wanted to build in the ethos of web3. So they built a product (dovuOS) that fills a need and drives demand (utility) of $DOVU.

If there is equity then all values accrue in company shares. Share holders get the share of profits. DOVU holders might get some discounts or loyalty rewards. But no profits.

They are a private company - I meant they could be set up without any interaction with the web3 community and just provide their services to their clients, but that’s not the model they wanted to build. So they built utility into the token and allow it to be interactive with the community. As far as profits - they do share in that web3 way through staking rewards.

Right, but in hedera the inherent value comes from running the network (getting fees) and securing the network (too expensive to obtain 1/3 of the stake). Just pegging it to dolar is not enough. They could’ve use hbar as well …

But they aren’t, they are using $DOVU. Any company, government, farm…whatever that wants to use dovuOS will have to buy $DOVU to pay for the services. That is the utility of $DOVU and that will drive increased demand of the token as dovuOS has increased adoption.
