Paper wallets - have I got this right? - To

migrate to the new BC I just transfer from CLI (5.0.0.3) to a new MetaMask ETN address (when this is ready) and the conversion happens from old chain to new?

The CLI can send to these new addresses?

Not quite. CLI 5.0.0.3 has been changed to do the bridging for you. When you next log into the paper wallet using CLI, it will create a new bridging transaction to a bridge address on the legacy chain where the coins are destroyed. Its all automatic. Included in that transaction is a public address on the smart chain derived from your CLI private spend key. You can even see it in explorer...check out the SmartChain Address on this example. The bridge picks up the transaction on the old legacy chain and sends the coins on the new smart chain. You can then go over to the smart chain and take control of that wallet using the private spend key from your paper wallet (using local client (etn-sc attach) or metamask (public nodes to connect metamask are on their way). Info on it here. Detailed developer resource here. of course, you can just import the paper wallet into my.electroneum mobile app and the team do it all for you....

I see - thanks for this explanation BetaMutex. So the paper wallet spend key will be correct in the new smart chain. That's very convenient. I will read through this carefully
