I understand that a new token is going to be

released when Sonic starts. It is said that it will be exchanged 1:1 with the FTM token. My question is, is FTM no longer going to be worth anything? If the token is worth less than the current price of FTM, all these increases would have been in vain. Someone smarter than me explain it to me.

That’s probably rate difference on exchanges. Polygon foundation must have native bridge to migrate Matic to POL at 1:1 rate.

It is clear why 4000 POL at a value of 0.9888 is not the same as 4000 Matic at 0.9950, when exchanging them, the two tokens must be worth the same, and later we will see if the new token goes up or down.

this is like Tether when you swap USDT on exchange you will not always get $1 because some people are willing to sell at 0.9994 but the price is close to the peg you will be able to swap your 1USDT with 1USD with Tether
