Why is Ergo community so fragmented? Let me tell you why

from my point of view:

Cause every project thinks they need to build a community to support the cause they are involved in, and mod's of the past have thought that Main channels should be for Main Ergo content, I don't see alot of Core Ergo Content on this page today, pretty sure the Sig's are active everyday, and Ergonauts all over the place - but they seem to have chosen to Silo themselves on some channel somewhere where they can keep distractions to a minimum - bad practice imho - buidl in public, I once thought it was good idea to have break out channels, but I now see how much damage it causes our community.

This is a community problem that needs to be addressed if we want to be transparent and build in public, Ergonauts peel away from the public view and dive into channels where content creators and projects seek for them to spend time in to add to conversations of value for such-and-such project, and it fragments us, we are so spread out across the web a new visitor to our core page thinks Ergo is dead.

bring back the projects chat on this channel, bring back the confusion that comes with it, lets bump into each other as we work on supporting the Ergo thing we are involved in, lets have a core group that others can join and see what is going on in Ergo projects.

Result of this would be less activity not more. Don’t think ergo is fragmented, low barriers to find and discuss these things. Only a small percentage of the community ever make it to these chats anyway.
