I'M not a coder but really curious to understand why

it's taking so long? From what I understand in the forum thread, the solution is ready to be implemented? So this is starting to look like deliberate stalling? Or am I missing something and is zec's infrastructure not ready? Who's the bottleneck here?

The issue isn't just Binance updating their codebase so that they can generate TEX addresses. We also have to work with other exchanges and wallet providers to introduce parsing logic that can decode and interpret TEX addresses. Otherwise, transfers from wallets/exchanges to Binance might fail. Binance wants to wait until other wallets/exchanges have implemented this change before activating it on their end.
