Strong point. Problem was how to generate enough interest in the collective. Hence the idea to promote FXD straight away and create Fomo

Fxd doesn't even have a gauge yet, nor do any of the other memecoins. That's probably a good place to start before direct fxs incentives

Is allocating FXS for memes really the best use? I understand all the hype now, and its a reoccuring narrative. But I personally am against it 👍 Just does not fit well with me Frax wanting to be THE decentralized bank, and then goes around to fund meme coins that might be a shitty investment.

I agree and I find this all a little weird. I'm not against memecoins at all but I feel like they have to be organic. I get there's a need to filter out scams but a memecoin council for official approved memes sounds kinda cringe tbh

I'm a bit confused why the proposal asks funding before the collective would give the first grade/rating on Frax Doge. I'm not opposed to funding FXS for meme coin LPs. But I think right now it's like 2 separate proposals in 1: give FXS to FXD, start memecoin collective. Not opposed to either of them. Just think starting the collective is imperative. Rating Frax Doge (and KFC+RWA?) as the first memes would be a great first step so the community knows everything is safe to allocate FXS.
